What is the difference between used and reconditioned IBC totes?
Used totes are sold in their as-received condition after visual inspection and grading. They have not been cleaned or refurbished beyond what was done by the previous owner. Reconditioned totes go through our full 8-step professional refurbishment process including triple-stage cleaning, cage repair, new valves, new gaskets, hydrostatic pressure testing, and final inspection. Reconditioned totes cost more but deliver like-new performance with a 6-month warranty.
Can I use your totes for food or drinking water?
Yes, with the right grade selection. Our food-grade used totes previously held food-safe liquids and meet FDA 21 CFR requirements for indirect food contact. Our food-grade reconditioned totes go through an additional FDA-compliant cleaning process. For drinking water, we recommend food-grade reconditioned totes or food-grade used totes with an FDA-approved LDPE liner for maximum safety.
